Martial's "Liber Spectaculorum" is one of the most important sources of our knowledge about the shows and competitions held on the Flavian amphitheater during the imperial era. in addition to the enactment of the mythological figures, the Roman emperors one after the other attached utmost importance to the hunting and gladiatorial shows, and kept them on various occasions. Through that unique literary work the researcher aims by this paper to shed light on these shows and competitions.
