المستخلص

عرف المصري القديم العديد من الظواهر الفلكية، وتعد ظاهرة سقوط النيازك الأكثر تأكيدًا لما وُجِدَ من قطع أثرية مصنوعة من نيازك حديدية. تُعنِى الدراسة بحصر القطع المصنوعة من الحديد النيزكي بالتحاليل الكيميائية والمجهرية، مع الإشارة إلى المصادر المرجحة للنيازك في الأراضي المصرية، كما توضح الصيغة التي أشار بها المصري القديم إلى النيازك في النصوص، وتبحث في المصطلح الذي أُطلق على الحديد النيزكي، وأهمية النيازك وتأثيرها في الفكر العقائدي للمصري القديم ورمزيتها الدينية والجنائزية.
