المستخلص

تناقش هذه الدراسة العين في الفكر القديم لبلاد الرافدين من وجهة نظر دينية ولغوية وفنية وأهميتها. حيث كان للعين، سواء بالمعنى الحرفي أو المجازي، أهمية كبيرة في ضوء ما عكسه الفن من تماثيل ذات عيون واسعة وتمائم وتماثيل نذرية، مما دفع بعض الباحثين إلى افتراض وجود إله العين في بلاد النهرين وماحولها وهو الأمر الذي لايزال مطروحًا للنقاش في ضوء ما يستجد من الاكتشافات الحديثة.
