المستخلص

تتسم الدراسات التي تناولت أعمال النحت الروماني في مصر، وخاصة تماثيل المثقفين من الرجال والسيدات بالندرة، وهو الدافع وراء اختيار الباحث لدراسة ونشر هذا التمثال (لأول مرة) المنحوت من الرخام، والمحفوظ بالمخزن المتحفي بالبهنسا بمركز بني مزار بمحافظة المنيا تحت رقم سجل (F411)، حيث تضمنت الدراسة وصفًا تفصيليًا للتمثال مع التركيز على الملابس والأسلوب الفني المُتبع، مع محاولة تحديد مهنة صاحبة التمثال، وذلك من خلال الدراسة التحليلية التفصيلية، وعمل المقارنات مع التماثيل المتشابهة للتمثال محل الدراسة والتماثيل الأخرى، حيث تضمنت الدراسة العديد من النماذج المتشابهة للتمثال محل الدراسة من حيث طراز الذي تنتمي إلى تلك التماثيل، كذلك والملابس التي يرتدينها، ومن حيث ظاهرة عمود الظهر النادر وجودها في تلك التماثيل، كما اعتمدت الدراسة في التأريخ على شكل اليد اليمنى فوق الطية القطرية عند منطقة الصدر، والتي يعتمد الكثير من الباحثين عليها في التأريخ، خاتمًا الورقة البحثية بمحاولة تحديد مصدر وتأريخ التمثال، بناء على بعض من الحيثيات.
