يهدف هذا البحث إلى رصد مدى انتشار ظاهرة تزييف النقود اليونانية في العصرين الآرخي والکلاسيکي من خلال المصادر الأدبية. فقد انتشرت ظاهرة تزييف النقود بالتوازي مع نشأة النقود نفسها، حيث وجد بعض المزيفين أنها وسيلة مربحة للثراء والکسب المادي. وتفشت هذه الظاهرة في بلاد اليونان على نحو کبير في العصرين الآرخي والکلاسيکي، وشکلت خطرًا جسيمًا على اقتصادها، ولاسيما أثينا. ما من شک أن الأدب ماهو إلا مرآة عاکسة لظواهر المجتمع السياسية، والاقتصادية، والاجتماعية. وفي الحقيقة استطاع کتاب الشعر والنثر توظيف هذه الظاهرة في أعمالهم الأدبية بأشکال مختلفة من خلال توظيف بعض المصطلحات الخاصة بتزييف النقود، أو من خلال سرد بعض الأحداث المرتبطة به
This Study aims to identify the prevalence the phenomenon of counterfeiting Greek coins in the archaic and classical eras through the litrerature. The phenomenon of counterfeiting coins arose in parallel with the emergence of the coin itself, as some counterfeiters found it a profitable way for gaining profit and making wealth. This phenomenon was considerably widespread in the archaic and classical eras in Ancient Greece and posed a serious threat to its economy, sespecially Athens. Literature is no doubt a reflection of society's political, economic and social aspects. In fact, poets and prose writers have been able to employ this phenomenon in their literary works in various forms through some of the terms of counterfeiting coins, or by narrating some of the events associated with it.
